Girls Junior Varsity Soccer, Girls Varsity Soccer · Girls Soccer Goes Undefeated

The RCSHS girls soccer enjoyed a very successful week. On Tuesday (Aug 26th), the girls traveled to Grayson to take on the Lady Raiders of East Carter.  Nicole Plank scored in the first half on a corner kick with an assist from Hannah Bandura.  The home team scored the equalizer in the 79th minute of play and the game ended in a tie 1-1.  On Thursday night (Aug 28th), the team teaveled to play district foe Fleming County.  The Lady Vikings came away with a 7-0 win, their second shutout of the Lady Panthers in a week. Hannah Bandura led the way with 3 goals and 2 assists.  Ally Hackney added 2 goals, Lauren Bauer and Kennedy Scott had one each.  Montanna Minor and Destiny Hampton had one assist each.
The girls finished the week on the road again playing Prestonsburg on Saturday (Aug 30).  The final score was Lady Vikings 3 and the Lady Cats 0. Helen Bandura scored in the first half and Ally Hackney added two more in the second half.  Hannah Bandura and Nicole Plank had one assist each.  The team is now 3-1-1 on the season and continue play this week with games on Tuesday at East Jessamine and at home Wednesday versus Morgan County.
