Congratulations to the Rowan County Girls Golf team for earning their 2nd straight trip to the state tournament in Bowling Green. The girls earned the trip by finishing tied for first in the region tournament held Monday at Mt Sterling Country Club with a team score of 383. Greenup County also finished with a 383 and the two teams had to square off in a head-to-head playoff. The team fell just short, losing to Greenup by 1 in the playoff but still earned a spot in the state tournament. The team was led by Taylor Kendrick (91), followed by Allie McKenzie (93), Abby Moore (99) and Adrianna Kerns (100). The team will be leaving on Sunday and returning Wednesday.
