Multiple Teams · Senior Night Sweep

Tuesday night the Valkyries hosted 10th region foe, George Rogers Clark for their senior night. Clark is a good squad and most teams choose a relatively easy opponent to ensure a good night. This team thinks differently. They wanted to prove that they could beat better teams on a night like this. Being 8-2 in their last 10 matches, Clark is no slouch and has a couple great hitters and a fantastic defensive to boot.

For girls, senior night can be an emotional one that makes even the best teams vulnerable. All three squads (freshman, JV, and varsity) walked away with another “W.” The team is starting to find a rhythm and at just the right time. That progression is being led by the seniors and that’s incredibly exciting to see the system work as it should.

It took the team all 5 sets to finally finish off the Lady Cardinals, but they found a way to win and that’s all that’s asked. Find a way to win.

They will play their last home regular season game tomorrow against Greenup.
