April 21st was a great night for the softball team because they picked up two big District wins over Bath County and Fleming County, however, that was not the best thing they accomplished that day. The team turned their annual Pink game into a “Hope for Hunter” night. Hunter Mitchell is a 2nd grade student who is fighting a very rare form of cancer. Hunter had a great time with the girls and did not want to leave the game even when it was cold and time for bed!
The team raised $266 for Hunter and his family which will help to offset his medical and travel expenses. If you are interested in donating, there is a “Hope for Hunter” account set up at Kentucky Bank.
A huge thanks to Coach Slone, his staff, boosters, and players for including Hunter!
