Multiple Teams · Vikings Get Back To Winning Ways At Boyd

The Rowan County Vikings got back to what they do best on Friday Night at Boyd County, as they rushed for over 350 yards and scored 5 rushing TD’s in route to defeat Boyd County 34-16.  After falling to Greenup Co the week before, the Vikings understood in order to keep their playoff hopes alive they had to defeat the Lions. They jumped on them early and often and now with a record of 4-4 overall and 1-3 in district play (must win 2 district games to get in playoffs) the Vikings still hold tight to the hopes of returning back to the KHSAA Class 4A Playoffs.  The Vikings look forward to the challenge, as they have two district games remaining on the schedule, a road trip to Paintsville to take on Johnson Central and a home match up against new district opponent the East Carter Raiders.
