Valkyries First Week Out

The Rowan Valkyries finished up their first week in the 2015 season. There were plenty of questions coming into this season. The Valkyries lost several seniors last season that contributed heavily to the team’s offensive and defensive stats. Looking at the Valkyries record it would be easy to say that the season has been unimpressive. On paper anything can look deceiving. Losing several talented players last season created questions to be answered for the team this season. After looking at the team at camp during the preseason, the coaches started to see some

Volleyball Scorch Devils

A great start to the week for the Valkyrie volleyball team, taking all three sets from their opponent on Tuesday. Last week, they took Bath Co. in three sets securing the top seat in the district post-season tournament. That was easily the most important game of the regular season for the team. Tuesday, the Lady

Valkyries Secure Top Seed for Postseason

The Valkyries have had some growing pains early in the season, but Thursday night was no time for distractions or downfalls with the most important game so far this season. The team would host district rival Bath County with a big prize at the end of the game for the winner. The 61st district is
