Vikings Soccer Impressive 7-2 Victory over Ashland

Great Start For Boys’ Soccer

The Vikings are off to a 3-0 start!!! The three victories were against Greenup, Bourbon, and East Carter, by a combined score of 19-7.  This a great start to the season as the boys’ look to defend the 16th Region Title.  The scoring has been spread amongst the team with Larry Whelan leading the way

Green White Scrimmage and Alumni Game Aug. 15th

The boys’ soccer team will be hosting a green white inter-squad scrimmage on August 15th at 6:30pm at Dave Shuster Field.  Following the green white scrimmage will be the Vikings Alumni game, that will kickoff at approximately 730pm.  Come out and meet the Vikings and cheer on the old fellas if you are in town!!

Graham wins Forcth Bank/KHSAA Class Regional Award

  Multisport athlete Justin Graham continues to bring home the hardware. On April 14th, the KHSAA announced the regional winners of the Forcth Bank KHSAA Class Region Award. Justin was the winner for the 16th region and is now eligible for a state wide award.  Justin and his family will attend a banquet on April 26th

Hammond/Whelan take top All-Area Honors

The hardware keeps rolling in for the boys soccer team.  Coach Max Hammond was named All-Area Coach of the Year and Junior Larry Whelan was named All-Area Player of the Year. Five Players were named to the all area team. A huge congrats to Larry Whelan, Justin Graham, Allan Mays, Alex Mays, and Trevor P’Simer.

Boys’ Soccer Record Breaking Season

The Vikings Boys’ Soccer Team had a record breaking season this year!!  They were able to make it to the Elite Eight for the first time in school history and win the programs 6th Regional Championship (most of any school in the region)!! The boys soccer team will play again on Saturday, November 1st at 4:00 pm. The game is at Henry Clay High School and all tickets are $10.  Kids 10 and under are free.

Boys’ Soccer Cleans Up Triplett Creek

The Vikings Boys’ Soccer team volunteered to help clean up Triplett Creek.  The boys took four hours of their time to look after one of the community’s main watersheds.  They had no problem hopping into the creek and picking up any trash, tires, bumpers, and other debris that had been carelessly thrown into the creek.
