Boys Tennis Wraps up Successful Season

The boys tennis team ended a successful season with a record of eleven wins and four losses. The team was  able to avenge loses from last year to several local teams. The season ended on several  positive notes while showing much improvement at all levels.   Highlights of the season included a runners up finish

Boys Tennis Off to Strong Start

The boys tennis team is off to a great start with a record of 8-3. With wins over Morgan, Rose Hill, West Carter, Lewis, and Fairview. Included in a great season so far was a good showing at the first “Viking Invitational Tournament”. On April 11th the boys took on teams from three other schools

Boys Tennis Goes 1-1 to open season

The boy’s tennis team opened their 2015 season on March 12th by defeating West Carter by a score of 9-0. The boys played well considering the lack of practice due to bad weather. On March 16th the boys traveled to Montgomery County to play. They played very close matches and showed improvement but lost 1-8.

Tennis Learns from the Best

Over the fall break 5 members (Jacob Sergent, Kaleb Sergent, Bryce Kidd, Braiden Thacker and Baylie Sloan) of the Rowan County Viking Tennis Team traveled to Hilton Head South Carolina to train at the world famous Van der Meer Tennis Academy. Tennis Gives Back

The Rowan County Tennis Teams and Boosters spent last weekend working concession stands at UK Sporting events. Once the events were over they took the leftover food to a local homeless shelter.  

Tennis Tournament a Huge Success

The 3rd annual Viking Challenge Tennis Tournament was a huge success. Bryce Kidd Bounces Back Strong

After a year layoff due to medical issues Viking Tennis Player Bryce Kidd is back in action. He recently teamed with Morgan County’s Ashton Whitt to earn a runners up finish in the Men’s B division of the highly competitive Kenny Huffman Tennis Tournament in Pikeville.
