Helvey and Kelsey Sign to Play at KCU

Congratulations to Seniors Devin Helvey and Andrew Kelsey for signing to play football for Kentucky Christian in the 2017 season.  Both players were standouts for the Vikings football team.  Viking nation is excited to continue to watch these two outstanding young men excel on the football field.

Vikings Win Big on Senior Night!

The Rowan County Vikings earned a big victory over the East Carter Raiders on Friday Night 42-6.  The Vikings not only celebrated Senior Night, they also opened the door to a 4A State Playoff birth.  The Vikings 5-5 overall and 2-3 in district play, now sit and wait to hear the final word on whether

JV Football Update

Rowan County JV football fell short to Morgan County Monday night 26-8. Rowan County’s only score came on a Zeke Ferguson run followed by a two point conversion catch by James Moore.  The JV Vikings will play East Carter on Monday, in the season finale. Johnson Central Defeats Rowan 42-6

The Rowan County Vikings traveled to Paintsville on Friday Night to take on 4A Power Johnson Central in a district match-up.  Johnson Central (7-0) took a 28-0 lead into halftime and the Vikings were never able to recover as the Johnson Central defeated the Vikings 42-6. Vikings Homecoming Rained On by Ashland

The Rowan County Vikings hosted the Ashland Tomcats Friday Night at Paul Ousley Stadium for the Annual Homecoming football game. Senior,  Ms. Carly Anderson was named Homecoming Queen 2015.
