Rowan Cheer Picks up 16th Region Title

  At the conclusion of the Boys 16th Region Boys Basketball Tournament, the Rowan County Cheerleaders got the news they were hoping for.  Coach Fannin’s squad was named 16th Region Cheer Champions.  Congratulations to the coaches and team on this great honor!

Rowan County Cheerleaders Pick up District Title

On Thursday, February 25th the Rowan County Cheerleaders added more hardware to their already full trophy case.  Congratulations to Coach Fannin, her staff, and the team on another District Cheerleading In-Game Title. Quesinberry Signs with MSU

On Monday, May 18th, Maggie Quesinberry reached a lifelong goal.  Surrounded by friends, family, coaches,and teammates, Maggie signed to cheer at Morehead State University.  She will compete on the co-ed squad. Congratulations to Maggie on this accomplishment.      

Vikings Earn Awards at 16th Region Championship Game

On March 12th, 2015 Elliot County and Morgan County played for the 16th Region Championship for the rights to go to Rupp.  An awards ceremony was held after the game that honored many of our student-athletes. The most important job of cheerleaders is to cheer on their team, and it’s always nice when you can be recognized for doing that. The RCSHS cheerleaders continued their tradition of bringing home a winning trophy when they once again captured the in-game cheer title from the 61st District In-Game competition on Friday night (February 27).
